OP Overvolt - E Scooter seizures

Good afternoon, 

On Wednesday 02nd September Southall SNT were out today running OP Overvolt. This operation was launched to tackle E-Scooters and E-Bikes riding illegally and dangerously on the roads or pavement. While on patrol  we have stopped any E-Bike which had cause to give us doubt regarding the legality of the bikes and checks were made on the spot. 

In the end a total of five E-Scooters were seized with five riders being educated and given a ticket for riding on the pavement and riding with no insurance. They have been given instruction on how to retrieve their E-Scooters and where they can legally ride these which would only be on private property. Only hired E-Scooters can be used on the roads as these are insured directly from the hire company.
